How do you recommend changing client mindsets on this? I have found it increasingly pointless to base my work on what I see in platforms like semrush, and instead am placing more focus on technical/under the hood updates along with high quality AND multimedia content. But that change in my mindset is hard to get buy in on, specifically with clients who started their sites in the early 2010s. Their goal is always “#1 for x keyword”, whereas my approach is becoming more” let’s find a cluster of keywords, provide value and see if that helps conversions/site engagement/etc.” Any suggestions in communicating/demonstrating/proving this change of mindset?
